MARK COLES - PRESIDENT FIRST PAGE SEO

Mark Coles previously owned and operated OGOPOGO RESORT for eight years in the Haliburton Highlands while pursuing a professional career in Toronto. A few years ago he sold the resort business with the intention of semi retirement after juggling several concurrent careers - but that has not been the case.

For a number of years he has also been running a web marketing consulting business called FIRST PAGE SEO that specializes in search engine optimization web site placement, registration services and web marketing strategies for internet entrepreneurs. This business is primarily active in the US and has expanded considerably in the last three years serving over 400 worldwide clients. The company is also active in other web marketing disciplines including web site design & development, site hosting and opt in mail marketing campaigns, link programs and emedia news programs with a strong Canadian & US presence. Recently, First Page SEO was ranked by TopSeos.com as the top search engine marketing company in Canada and 24th worldwide.

Seven years ago, Mark retired from ONTARIO HYDRO after a seventeen year career that began as a Marketing Specialist. He later moved on to other executive positions within Hydro including Senior Marketing Specialist, Marketing Superintendent, Manager of Audit Operations, Manager of Information Management Operations, and as part of HYDRO ONE - Manager IT and dual roles as Manager of Software/Application Development and Deregulation Implementation Leader.

Previous to ONTARIO HYDRO, Mark had various management roles in the Marketing & Hospitality Industry including seven years with INDUCON DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION as Marketing Manager for INDUCON DEV and LAGOON CITY RESORT OPERATIONS General Manager.

Other Management positions include C.P.HOTELS, RAMADA INNS, BONANZA FOODS and the TORONTO O'KEEFE CENTRE (Hummingbird).

Mark has a strong academic marketing background including a degree in Hotel Management, Sir Wilfred Laurier Masters Marketing Program and Kings University MBA Marketing courses. Mark has a wife and two daughters that reside on Haliburton's Mountain Lake - their favorite place in the world.

MIKE TOWNSEND

After spending several years working and living in the Toronto area Mike decided to escape the hustle of the big city and so when the opportunity arose he took it. A graduate of the Eco-Adventure Tourism Management program in Haliburton Mike brings a diversity of skills to First Page SEO. Having worked in the website development industry for the past 10 years he brings a knack for creativity which is reflected in our sites. This passion for design was harnessed and expanded over the years spent as the Design Coordinator of Peer Partners Inc. and later on as a Multi-media specialist with B.C. Decker of Hamilton.

Mikes educational back ground ranges from (honors) Graphic Communication to Ecosystem Management with a Tourism Management certificate. This variety of knowledge helps us to better understand our customers and their individual needs in their respective niche markets. Aside from being one of the creative minds at First Page SEO Mike works as an outdoor educator and program facilitator at the Bark Lake Leadership Centre. Over that past few years in Haliburton Mike has become a part of the community through various comities and volunteer organizations in the county.
