SEARCH ENGINE SPAMMING

Search engines increasingly penalize sites for mirroring content under different domain names. When search engines spider the exact content under separate domains, they assume that the site owner is trying to junk up their listings with essentially copies of the same information or worse - using someone else's content word for word.

Contrary to popular belief, the gateway page is not completely dead and you can enhance your company's web marketing position providing that:

• the separate domain should emphasis a variation of the main site theme for your products or services
• the html word content therefore will be different than your main page.
• the pictures for the benefit of views and manual editors will be different.
• tags will be original and written to support the gateway site theme variation and keywords should be of such density in the title/description/keyword meta tags so as not to spam the tags.
• the gateway will not auto direct to the main site but can be manually linked by viewers.
