RESORTS ONTARIO WEBSITE ACHIEVES HIGH RANKING

Since the Association’s website was built 1 ½ years ago, we have continued to develop and evolve the functionality and effectiveness of the site. Approximately 100 member properties have now purchased an “enhanced page” within the web site and each participant is able to retrieve and track the activity on these pages.

Your committee chaired by Ted Carruthers and Mark Downing have been working on the evolution and development of the site along with their committee, and the changes made to the search this year has increased the activity on the web site phenomenally. The performance of the web site is a direct result of focusing on the science of “search” has paid significant dividends. For example, from May 2000 to October 2001, our hits were just over 8,000,000. Now our cumulative hits put us over the 30,000,000 mark!! (no pun intended)

A great deal of assistance is attributed to hiring Mark Coles from First Page SEO, a new preferred supplier.
